Why groups matter

Numbers are negotiating power

Large employers get better rates because they bring thousands of members to the table. Individuals, families, freelancers, and small shops negotiate alone. FindGroupHealth lets you organize by profession, platform, or city — so when a group reaches critical mass, we can pursue level-funded deals and association partnerships on its behalf, and so you're first in line if federal group-buying law changes.

Frequently asked questions

No. FindGroupHealth is a privately operated comparison and group-organization tool — not an insurance company, carrier, or government agency. When you're ready to enroll, coverage is sold by a licensed insurance producer: either us once fully licensed, or a named licensed partner we refer you to with your consent.

Not in the way most people mean. Under current federal and California law, solo freelancers generally can't join cross-industry group plans the way employees of a single company can. What you can buy today: individual and family ACA marketplace plans (often with subsidies), and in some cases level-funded or association plans if you qualify through an existing bona fide association. We help you compare those current options while letting you join profession or city groups so you're positioned if the rules change.

H.R. 6703 — the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act — passed the House in December 2025. It would expand Association Health Plans so small businesses and many self-employed people could form or join groups across industries for group-rate coverage. It has not become law; it's still pending in the Senate. Until it (or similar legislation) is enacted, the broader group-buying options it would create don't exist. We track the bill and notify group members if the legal landscape changes.

No. We only contact you with your explicit consent, and only about the specific coverage options you requested. We never sell your information to lead aggregators or multiple marketers. Consent is limited to the named licensed producer handling your request, and you can revoke it at any time.

No. Joining a group is completely free and commits you to nothing — it simply adds you to a demand-aggregation list for that profession, platform, or city. You can leave at any time. It is not an application for insurance and doesn't enroll you in any plan.
